Aero India Show 2007 is yet another grand aircraft and defence exhibition that takes place once in every two years. The event is much awaited for by the Aviation and Aerospace industry in India as well as their prospective customers alike. It is being hoped that the number of participants in Aero India Show 2007 surpasses the one recorded in the Aero India 2005. The show, however promises to be a grand one, as always, witnessing a huge participation in terms of both exhibitors and visitors.
The Aero India Show in 2007 will be the 6th edition among a series of such aerospace exhibitions held in the recent past, the first one in 1996. The venue of Aero India Show 2007, scheduled to take place from February 7-11, is Yelahanka Air Force Base in the city of Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Aero India Show 2007 would witness the participation of over 500 exhibitors from some of the globally acclaimed manufacturers of civil and military aircraft, airfield upgrade and other allied service providers to the Indian Aviation and Aerospace industry.
A few leading names among a wide list of participants in the Aero India 2007 are Boeing, EADS, Lockheed Martin, Rosoboronexport and Dassault. The number of participants at the show is already higher than the one recorded in the 2005 exhibition wherein around 380 companies had taken part.
As for the number of visitors at the Aero India Show 2007, a record number of attended are expected at the grand event. The figure is expected to be somewhere around 1,50,000! Owing to its pivotal importance for the growth of aviation business, a large number of potential buyers of aerospace products look forward to the event with much enthusiasm and as such, the number of visitors to the India Air Shows continually sees an upward trend.
This time, the major attendees at Aero India Show 2007 would be top-level people from the Union Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Headquarters in India, members from the Indian Council of Ministers, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), India Space Research Organization (ISRO), foreign military delegations along with potential customers of the civil aviation and airport maintenance industry.
