Pushkar is a small and serene city located on the bank of the beautiful Pushkar Lake in Rajasthan, India. The city boasts of its 400 temples and 52 bathing ghats, but the most famous of them is the Brahma Temple which is the only Indian temple to be dedicated to Lord Brahma. The most colorful and popular event in Pushkar is the Cattle Fair held during the period of Kartik Purnima in Oct-Nov. Pushkar – situated 11kms. to the North-West of Ajmer, does not have a railway station. Ajmer serves as the base for accessing Pushkar from most parts of India.

Rail:Ajmer is the nearest railhead and it being an important destination on its own, is well connected with all major places in Rajasthan.

Road:There are two bus stands in Pushkar. The Marwar bus stand, in the north of the town by the post office, is well connected to important destinations like Delhi, Jodhpur and Bikaner. The Ajmer bus stand is located east of the Pushkar town and has buses to Ajmer and Jaipur.
