The Taj Group of Hotels had started on April 1, 1902, by Mr. Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata. The first hotel in the chain was the Taj Mahal Hotel, Bombay (now Mumbai). This grand building is recognized worldwide and is a welcome sight to anyone who visits the city.
